The 5th Mount Gerald Beavers celebrated the recent World Book Day by dressing-up as their favourite story book character at their colony meeting.  They also had the opportunity of creating their own story books. They had lots of fun creating their own front cover for the books using lots of bright colours. This has been part of their book reader challenge badge and also built on the work they have been completing at school.

If you are interested in joining any of the sections, Beavers, Cubs or Scouts enquiries can be made to 5thmountgerald@gmail.com.

North Star Explorers hosted a youth-led Science Night showcasing initiative and independence.

From constructing slingshots to testing structural integrity, participants engaged in lively physics challenges. By planning and facilitating the programme themselves, the Explorers learned the value of responsibility, problem-solving, and real leadership. Adult leaders provided guidance but let the youth lead, highlighting the power of active learning in cultivating confidence and stronger teamwork.

I will be forever extremely grateful to the Leaders and my fellow Explorers for making the range of activities so memorable.  It was a truly fantastic experience. I had a brilliant time and can't wait to see what we do next! "
